Children can unearth stories, adventures, and more with a Digby card

Is your child tracking their Summer Reading activities? Pick up a Digby card from any Forsyth County Public Library branch and mark off the things you've done at branches and throughout the community. Here's tips on how easy it is to mark off some of the items on your card.

There are 21 live performances for children and families between now and July 31. Take in a puppet show, listen to stories and songs about dinosaurs, enjoy a kid-friendly concert with Big Bang Boom, and more! Check out the full schedule on our online calendar.

Did know know our branches offer more than 20 Storytime programs every week? Our chldren's librarians make learning fun by combining stories, songs, movement activities, and more for babies up to preschoolers.

Planning a playdate at a park this summer? Visit the Triad Park playground in Kernersville or Highland Avenue Park just down the hill from Malloy/Jordan East Winston Heritage Center in Winston-Salem and read a book at our StoryWalks. It's the perfect combination of reading and exercise.

Beat the summer heat at Kaleideum with a museum pass! A single pass admits up to six people, and it can be checked out for up to a week. Check the library's online catalog to see which branches have passes available.

Be sure to flip the Digby card over to track the books your child has read this summer! Multiple entries are allowed, so make the most of Summer Reading 2026 and turn in as many cards as you can for a chance at prizes by Friday, July 31!
